If you are wanting up step up your nutrition be sure you get the food facts. Many people believe that cow milk is the only way to get calcium or that animal meat is the best way to obtain protein. It’s NOT TRUE! Lots of vegan athletes out preform their meat-eating competitors. Maybe because they boost their brainpower with all the nutrient rich plant products they consume. Calcium and protein are just a few of the many valuable nutrients that can be consumed in large quantities without any cow tipin’!

Fall is just around the corner. Now is a great time to get outside and enjoy the cooler tempertures, the smell of fall flowers, and watching the trees change into a more colorful attire. Slip on some sneakers and stroll through the trails or kick up your heals for some speedwork. Fall festivals will be on all of the local calendars, and where there are festivals there are often races to accompany them. Get out and do good. You will do good by supporting your community and your health. Run or walk, just don’t fall!

Juvenile Activity

Did you know that there are nearly 300,000 children in America with some form of arthritis or rheumatic disease? There are 8.4 million young adults between the ages of 18-44 who have arthritis. How painful is that? There are too many diseases that deserve recognition, especially when kids are suffering. Arthritis hits home for me because of my early diagnosis with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Growing up with the disease was (and continues to be) a challenge. An active lifestyle is one of the best forms of treatment. If remaining active can improve the life of an awkward gal like me then just imagine what it can do for you!

Human Help

I am keeping a critical mind as I begin my inspirational words this morning. To start I am asking myself why you should want to read “Physical Matters”. One of my first thoughts is that I am not a high priced personal trainer and my college degree is in Computer Informations Systems, not Exercise Science.

Ah! But wait!! That might just be two very good reasons for you want to read Physical Matters. Perhaps I can provide a different perspective. Maybe I have alternative insight that can be beneficial too!?!

Human help is the way I like to look at it. I do some things right and some things wrong in fitness, health, & life in general; but isn’t that what human is?? This human will help you the best way I know how. I have held aerobics certifications in the past, taught classes, taken classes so please don’t think I am completly inexperienced. I long to be a fitness advocate because I believe in it. Go believe in yourself and get moving. And don’t be so critical, you are only human!
